Hi! My name is Victoria and I am a super sweet girl! I am happy to rest in my crate all day and when my foster mom gets home, I greet her with lots of cocker kisses and my uncontrollable tail wagging! I love to go outside and roll around in the grass. I get along great with my pal, Dixie, and we like to play chase and nip at each other's ears and roll around on the floor together. We have so much fun together! While I don't sleep in the bed with my foster mom (my foster-sis Dixie is jealous), I am allowed to sleep wherever I want and I really like that. I mostly like to curl up on the couch or in the dog bed. I'm sure that when I get to my forever home, I would love to curl up in the bed with my new family. When I got to my foster house, I was very shy, weak and scared. My muscles were very small and weak from being cooped up, so my foster mom works with me to help make me stronger. In addition to getting yummy, nutritious food, I also get regular exercise. Whether it is running up and down the stairs or running around the backyard, I like to flex my new stronger muscles! I had to compete for food in my old home, so I beg a little bit when there is food around, but I'm getting better at knowing when to stop. I am going to be the BEST new friend to my new family. I have a funny quirk that I cant help at the moment that makes my foster mom laugh every day. I love to be near my foster mom and when I cant be near her, I like the next best thing: her recently worn clothes (mostly socks and shoes). My foster mom is tickled every day to find that I have turned my crate into her new laundry basket! She doesn't mind this quirk so much because I just cuddle up and sleep with her clothes. I save my chewing for toys. My ideal new home is one where I will get plenty of love, attention, and an occasional toy. I grew up around 80 other dogs, so I will be great in a forever home with another dog. Notes from foster mom: Victoria is a very sweet girl. She does like to take my clothes, but since she doesn't chew them, I don't mind too much. She gets stronger every day and it is great to see her running around. When we first got her, she could barely even walk and tired easily. Now she has been on a long walk at White Rock Lake and runs when she is in the backyard. We have a dog door and except for one accident in the house the day after we got her, she hasn't had an accident. It also took her a few weeks to know what toys were and that bones are fun to chew on, but she is taking cues from Dixie and quickly learning how to be a happy, healthy little dog. She will be a treasure for anyone looking for a new family member. |
