We just rescued Mc Fluffy, but I can tell you he is a very happy boy. He is getting along with 5 other dogs, some male, some female. He loves to chase the ball and brings it back. He shares the toys and plays well with others. He's very sweet and friendly and for now is staying close to his new human friends.

He does have heartworms and will be starting treatment soon.

Heart Worm is a disease so easily preventable by the regular administration of a simple preventative medication. The treatment for heart worms is performed by a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine and involves the administration to the infected animal of a systemic poison to kill the adult worms and larvae. It is difficult for the animal, who must be kept quiet and unstimulated during the cycle of administration or risk death from either the drugs used in treatment or the clumping of the dead worms in their cardio-vascular system. Please keep your pets on heart worm preventative. For further information:

Animals who come to DFWCocker Rescue who are heart worm positive will be treated before they are placed for adoption.
