While Ducky has a LOT of good years left ahead of him (Cockers live an average of 15 years) his adoption fee is decreased to $125 as he is over 7 years of age.

Hi, my name is Ducky. I was in a good home for 8 years, but my mom had a baby. It seems the baby is allergic to me. She had no option but to give me up for adoption. I went straight to my foster mom as I had all my shots and had already been neutered. However, they then found out I had a very bad ear infection and I had to go and stay at the vet for a few days. My ears are getting better. At first I would not let anyone near my ears, but I am getting better. I was very grumpy if anyone got near my left ear because it hurt me. I am taking a daily pill and have to have drops put in my ears for the next two weeks until this nasty infection is gone. I’ve given my foster mom and dad a hard time when they try and put drops in my ears, but somehow deep down inside me I know they are trying to make it better.

I have a fur friend at my foster home. I like him, but at first, he didn’t like the fact I was in his house. We are getting along better now. My foster mom and dad take me walking every day. I love to go walking with my fur friend and my foster mom or dad. I stay very close to my foster mom. I like to follow her around the house. I like to sit next to her and chew on my toys. I am house trained and go to the back door when I need to go outside. I sleep all night long and don’t need to get up to go outside. I like to sleep in bed with my foster mom and dad.

From Ducky’s foster mommy:

Ducky is a beautiful black cocker with a very shiny coat. Even with a bad ear infection, Ducky is energetic. He loves to play with toys and has a chew bone that keeps him occupied all day. He loves to have me rub under his chin. He loves his morning walk and doesn’t mind staying in a crate when I have to run errands. If I am only going to be gone for a few hours, I don’t have to crate Ducky. He can stay in the house and doesn’t get into any trouble. Ducky came from a home with a child and his mom said he was good with children. He gets along good with his fur friend, even though his fur friend is a little jealous to be sharing me with Ducky. He has been grumpy with us when we have to do his ear, but we fully expect that once that ear issue is cleared up Ducky will always be sunny-side up!
